    Dr. Donald R. Franklin D.C.

Dr. Donald Franklin has been the consulting chiropractic physician for the Cleveland Indians since 1998 working with head athletic trainer Lonnie Soloff, MPT, ATC, and Cleveland Clinic Sports Health Head Team Physician Mark S. Schickendantz, M.D. Dr. Franklin brings a decade of sports injury experience to Lake county. Applying what he has learned at the professional level, Dr. Franklin has instilled this invaluable experience into his practice.

' The invaluable resources I've learned working with MLB have easily meshed into my everyday treatment of spinal and extremity injuries. Although the circumstances may vary from one mechanism of injury to the other, these mechanisms can be similar for both the professional athlete and my private patients. I think the biggest difference in what we do here at East Mentor Family Chiropractic & Rehabiltitation is the approach that we take. Not only are we going to correct the problem with chiropractic, but we are going to condition it with the same cutting edge techniques that are used by the healthcare staffs of professional sports organizations. That includes flexibility training as well as strengthening and conditioning that is extremely efficient in regards to time. Secondly we're going to educate the patient on why the injury occurred to avoid re-injury. Knowledge is the most important aspect of preventative medicine and my patients get that through their treatment plan.' Dr. Franklin.

Dr. Franklin is a member of CEPA ( The Care of Elite and Professional Athletes), PBCS (Professional Baseball Chiropractic Society), and the NOAC (Northeast Ohio Academy of Chiropractic). Along with working with the Cleveland Indians, Dr. Franklin has worked on NHL players, PGA golfers and MMA fighters as well as Hollywood celebrities.

Dr. Franklin is originally from Canton, Ohio, received his Bachelor degree in Biology/Pre-Med. at Muskingum College before earning his Doctorate degree from Logan College of Chiropractic. Dr. Franklin now resides in Lake county with his wife Dawn.
